Orthotic & Prosthetic Specialties, Inc. currently has an opening for a Certified Pedorthist. This career opportunity is a full-time position with access to additional benefits on top of a base salary.
Candidates should be self-motivated, detail oriented, organized team players who work well with patients in both hospital and clinical settings. Must have great communications skills and confidence to interact with other healthcare professionals. If you like working as an integral part in a team atmosphere and are passionate about providing the best quality care to your patients, this is the position for you!
Requirements
Description of Job Duties:
Interview, examine and measure patients to define their pedorthic needs.
Confer with physicians in order to create specifications and prescriptions for pedorthic needs.
Formulate design of pedorthic and/or orthotic devices.
Show and explain pedorthic appliances to healthcare workers.
Perform fittings of pedorthic devices including patient education.
Provide detailed clinical notes to patient records.
Provide assistance to other clinical staff.
Requirements:
Must be currently licensed and or certified and in good standing in your field of study, either ABC or BOC.
