Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant, North Carolina - Full-Time Locums

Join a collaborative Orthopedics team in North Carolina providing inpatient and OR support alongside experienced surgeons.

Highlights

• Ongoing full-time locum opportunity
• Assist in OR with cases like hand, foot, joints, and more
• Rounding, ED coverage, and call with surgeon

Practice Setting

• Inpatient orthopedic care
• 222-bed acute care hospital
• Daily rounding, ED consults, and surgical assists
• Epic EMR system

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
• Weekly call rotation with assigned surgeon
• Coverage needed until permanent hire is made

Cases and Procedures

• Assist in OR: joints, trauma, foot/ankle, ACLs, rotator cuffs
• Daily census: 4-12 patients
• Average OR volume: 5 cases/day

Requirements

• Physician Assistant with at least 2 years of ortho experience
• Board Certified or Eligible
• Active North Carolina license
• BLS and DEA required
